Want to imitate caddis larva? The buckskin is one of the best flies to do this. This is a staple fly in my box and it is very effective. When wet, the fly gets darker colored and looks like a caddis without his shell. What fish can resist that tasty treat. Make sure to have various sizes for those selective trout. I use this as either a top fly or a bottom fly depending upon the size I use.
