Griffith's Gnat
A very effective dry midge pattern. It represents a cluster of midges. Since fish are lazy, they would rather have a mouth full of midges versus just one. The fly usually lands with the hook pointing up(because of the lack of the tail, this allows for a great hook set.) I make sure I have a few of these in my fly box because I have seen midges hatch on warm winter days.
